Verland North (Venango County)
Verland is thrilled to announce the expansion of our community and services into Venango County. As a person-centered non-profit family, we have been approved to build up to four Verland Signature Homes serving Venango, Butler, and Mercer counties.
We provide services for the 25 individuals currently residing throughout this area. We are planning a seamless transition for these residents so that their lives are as uninterrupted as possible. Their soon-to-be new homes will provide them with a place of comfort and familiarity while receiving the necessary therapies, training, and activities to continue living engaging and enriched lives.
While the Signature Homes are being constructed, residents will remain fully cared for at the Polk State facility. Additionally, we hope to hire the skilled and dedicated therapists, direct support professionals, and the medical staff that is already in place at the Polk State Facility.
Community Living Arrangements (CLA) Homes
The CLA consists of 37 homes across multiple counties including persons with mild to moderate IDD. The CLA is designed to support independence and community integration. Served by Verland nursing professionals, we advocate for appropriate care across the coordinated care with the individual, family, and interdisciplinary providers.
CLA homes provide residential care in a familial atmosphere and 24-hour individualized support for each resident’s unique needs in the home. This community-style home promotes independence with the help of high-skilled Direct Support Professionals (DPSs) alongside assistive technology and adaptive equipment to assure the health and safety of each resident.

Support Our Mission
Verland was established through the love and compassion of its three founders and the generosity of one individual who was inspired to share her good fortune with others by donating the land on which Verland’s Ohio Township campus was built. Today, your support is needed to continue building community homes, expand the capacity of all facilities, and support our 230+ individuals with loving care.
