Leave a Legacy That Will Serve People with Disabilities in Perpetuity.
Verland was established through the love and compassion of its three founders and the generosity of one individual who was inspired to share her good fortune with others. It was one concerned citizen's donation of land that, for 40 years has expanded the horizons and life possibilities for countless individuals with intellectual disabilities. Today, Verland encourages legacy gifts that will help to ensure the continuation of our life-enhancing programs. In supporting Verland, your gift can be earmarked to benefit specific program areas or can be allocated at the discretion of our Board of Directors to address pressing needs.
Verland's person-centered mission offers an ideal means of ensuring that your loved one and/or other deserving individuals in your community will continue to receive services as long as they are needed. Material donations to Verland generally come in the form of bequests, planned gifts, appreciated stock, personal property, insurance policies, commercial property, automobiles, and other assets of value.
Please note that all donations are welcome, carry significant tax benefits, and are structured to benefit the donor and his/her family, as well as Verland. Regardless of the form of your planned gift, the direct beneficiaries are the most vulnerable people in our society, and each gift will benefit these individuals in perpetuity, enabling them to live meaningful, self-directed lives full of personal choice and promise.
*Note: Verland works closely with a prominent expert in planned giving, tax law, and estate planning. A consultation with this expert is available to you, upon request, at no cost.
